PopCom unveils it's latest PopShop kiosk at the Polaris Mall selling Flat Out of Heels

PopCom is pleased to deploy their patented PopShop digital pop-up shop at The Polaris Fashion Place in Columbus, Ohio. The sleek new age vending machine is located adjacent to Ann Taylor Loft and Black & White in the middle of Central Ohio’s premier shopping mall. The PopShop sells Flat Out of Heels, ultra stylish roll-up flats for women which have been worn by celebrities and socialites. PopCom has secured 90 hotels, 340 malls and shopping centers, and 36 airports for placement of the PopShops in 2021. Although previous Flat Out of Heels vending machines were successfully placed in locations such as the Atlanta Airport, Club LIV and Bayside Marketplace in Miami and the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, the 2020 PopShops include cutting edge technology and advertising capabilities to improve the customer experience.

The Popshop digital pop-up shops are available to retailers nationwide to purchase in order to sell their own products/brands. Far less expensive than brick and mortar shops, retailers can maintain a brick-and-mortar presence using this contactless retail approach.

PopCom CEO Dawn Dickson says:

"My team and I have worked since 2017 to build software and a vending machine to demonstrate its power. I was inspired to start PopCom after selling Flat Out of Heels in vending machines for two years so it's very special to me that Flat Out is the first brand we went live with. This is a prototype machine, the final versions are being produced now for first quarter 2021 delivery. We are testing the machine for three months to learn its vulnerability, see how we can make it better and identify any issues our customers could face before we launch. I welcome people stop by and use it, purchase some Flat Outs and be a part of our beta launch."

As a serial entrepreneur and inventor, Dawn is one of the first black female tech founders to raise over $3 million from investors. She is the founder and CEO of PopCom, and the Founder of Flat Out of Heels. Dickson was recently awarded a patent for the PopShop, she calls it the "iPhone of vending machines” because of the sleek and innovative design. The PopShop has a range of new features that are not available on traditional vending machines, including facial recognition, exterior cameras to collect data, advertising screens, and cashless payments with plans to accept digital currency in the near future.

Newly appointed Flat out of Heels CEO Danielle Shortt says:

"Flat Out of Heels being the very first brand in PopShop is Huge! We were the inspiration for Dawn creating PopCom so to witness this moment brings it all full circle. This experience is exciting for the teams in order to learn as much as possible about the machines. PopCom is truly the way of future technology we invite everyone to come and be apart of a phenomenal shopping experience.”
